What’s new in this update
New features
- Added Remote camera. Watch the camera of a computer or phone signed in to the same account from anywhere.
- Your other devices can watch this computer's camera too. You'll see an on-screen indicator and a notification while someone is watching.
- Take screenshots and record video from the camera viewer window. Recordings are saved as one-minute files.
- Set up scheduled recording, save only 30 seconds before and after motion, and delete the oldest videos first when storage fills up.
- Turn on Talk in the viewer window to send your voice to the other device.
- Choose the live video quality in the viewer window.
Improvements
- When possible, camera video goes directly between devices in H.265 for a sharper, faster picture.
- With automatic update downloads turned off, you can read what's new in a new version and choose whether to update.
- The left menu is now split into Webcam and Remote camera.
Bug fixes
- Fixed the free trial status not loading when the app started automatically after a restart.
- Fixed a rare issue where you were signed out after restarting the computer.
