On the same Wi-Fi network, the app automatically discovers the server. You can also connect directly via USB cable for even lower latency. No additional hardware needed.

No. It operates on the local network (LAN), so it works without internet. Connect to the same Wi-Fi, or use a USB cable — USB works without any network at all.

Wi-Fi: sub-16ms latency on LAN. USB: sub-5ms latency. We recommend using a 5GHz Wi-Fi band for best wireless performance. USB provides the most stable and lowest latency experience.

Yes. Touch input from the tablet is sent to the server PC. Click, drag, and scroll are all supported.

Extend mode uses the tablet as an additional display to expand your workspace. Mirror mode shows the same screen as your main display on the tablet.

DRM-protected video from Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+ and similar services is blocked by macOS and Windows from being sent to an external display. This is an operating-system restriction, so every screen-extension and mirroring app — including Any Display — shows the same black screen, and it cannot be worked around. Please watch these services in the app installed directly on your tablet.

Extend mode needs the Windows virtual display driver to create a second monitor. If it falls back to mirroring, quit Any Display, reinstall the latest Windows app by right-clicking the installer and choosing Run as administrator, then restart Windows. If you use an iPad over USB on Windows, also install Apple Devices from the Microsoft Store.

Up to 4K resolution, automatically adjusted to match your tablet's actual resolution. HiDPI (2x) scaling is also supported.

Most competing apps require a $4–6/month subscription or a $130+ hardware dongle. Any Display Free provides the same core features as Pro with ads, requires no extra hardware, and has no subscription.

Yes. Connect your tablet with a USB cable for even lower latency (<5ms). Both Wi-Fi and USB connections are supported.

Yes. To connect an iPad via USB on Windows, you need to install the Apple Devices app from the Microsoft Store. macOS does not require any additional setup.

Yes. Turn on pen input and your tablet's pen becomes a pen tablet for your desktop. Use an Apple Pencil on iPad or a stylus such as the S Pen on an Android tablet, and pressure and tilt are passed through to drawing apps on macOS and Windows.

Yes. Pressure, tilt, and azimuth are all transmitted, so stroke width and opacity respond to how hard you press. Pressure sensitivity is adjustable across ten steps in the desktop app. Hover works on M2 iPads or later with Apple Pencil 2, and on Android styluses that report hover. Check which Apple Pencil you have: the Pencil Pro, 2nd generation and 1st generation support pressure, while the USB-C model does not.

It lets you use the iPad or Android tablet you already own instead of buying a separate pen display. Pressure, tilt, and palm rejection are supported, which covers sketching, note-taking, signing, and photo retouching.. USB is recommended when you need the lowest latency.

Any Display injects pen input through Windows Ink (WM_POINTER). Switch the drawing app's input mode to Windows Ink in its settings. Apps configured for WinTab mode will not recognize the pen.

While the pen is near the screen, finger touch and gestures pause automatically. This is palm rejection, so you can rest your hand on the tablet and the cursor will not jump.

Open the desktop app's settings and enable Pen Input. Both the desktop app and the tablet app must be up to date. Once connected, the status changes to Ready or Active and the pen is live.
